Setting up direct deposit for payroll requires verifying your payroll bank account, which is why you received small micro-deposits from Intuit, Donald.
Micro-deposits are used to ensure the bank account you’ve linked is active, accurate, and correctly connected. When you connect your bank account in QuickBooks Payroll, we perform a test deposit of less than $1.00 to verify that we can process your direct deposits or tax payments with your bank.
Once you have the test transaction amounts ready, enter the test transaction amount without the decimal point. To verify the amount, here's how:
- Go to the Payroll menu, and click Overview.
- From your To Do List, select Let's Go on Check your bank account item.
- Select Verify Amount.
- Enter and confirm the transaction amount (no decimal point).
- Click Verify.
Once verified, you can activate direct deposit, e-pay, and e-file services. For further details, refer to the article: Verify Your Bank Account for Payroll.
