My co-worker noticed the WA PFML tax is not being withheld correctly on employee paychecks. She has called and been in touch with advisor SEVERAL times over the past month and nothing has been resolved. A payroll tax person has been in our account and changed things, but never to the correct percentage. We have been told to go in and make the correction, but we no longer have access to that particular tax, all we can access is a dropdown list. Then unbeknownst to us, someone with Intuit Online Payroll did a Payroll Correction to all our employee paychecks for this weeks payroll. It is illegal to retroactively withhold premiums from employees and we did not authorize this correction. Intuit Online Payroll needs to be responsible for their mistake!!! It would also be nice to be able to talk to the correct people who can help you fix a problem, instead of person calling you and playing middle man to real person you need to talk to.
Come on Intuit, you can definitely do a better job or have you gotten so big you no longer care about your customers??
Hello, I appreciate you raising your sentiments here in the Community.
I understand how it feels when things don't go as expected. Please know that this isn't the kind of experience we want you to encounter, and we know how much time it can take when things aren't on the right track.
To isolate the issue that happened, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Payroll support team again to help correct the data and accurately withhold your WA PFML tax on your employee's paychecks.
That said, I'd appreciate it if you could also provide us with a case number, so we can track where you've left off and to further assist you.
On the other hand, you can refer to this article to guide you on how to file taxes online: Pay and file payroll taxes and forms in Online Payroll.
If anything comes up in the meantime, please come back and let us know here in the Community. We'd be glad to assist you. Keep safe!
The QuickBooks Payroll team has been contacted several times, with the same result of being told to look at WA PFMLA web page (which we have done), to being told someone with the Tax department would contact us. Now someone with QuickBooks Payroll has gone in to our account and applied "Payroll Correction" which we did not advise and is not legal. This was the last straw.
One case number I have is 1591810333
