You'll want to ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is updated to the latest version, along with your payroll tax table. This will help you receive important security updates, prevent error messages when using some features, and ensure accurate paycheck calculations.
To update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release:
- Go to Help and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
- Select Update Now, then Get Updates.
- Close and reopen QuickBooks to install the update again.
To get the latest tax table:
- Select Download Entire Update.
- Click Update. An informational window appears when the download is complete.
