I’m here to give you more information with a report that shows payroll direct deposit. Here are the steps to generate a list of direct deposit paychecks:

 

  1. Go to Lists on the top menu bar and choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Highlight and do a right-click on the Direct Deposit Liability account used.
  3. Select Quick Report.
  4. Click Print and enter a date range.

This list is great for seeing what was taken out of the employer's bank account. I am looking for a report that shows the direct deposit into the employee's bank account. An employee is saying their direct deposits (several) did not happen. The employer did not receive any errors when processing the payroll.

This report is great to see what was withdrawn from the employer's bank account. Is there a report that shows the employee deposits into their separate bank accounts? I need verification that a particular employee's direct deposits made it to their bank.

Hey there, @marcy4. Thanks for updating us.

 

There isn't a report that shows direct deposit statuses for employees, but you can check it. It's super easy and takes only a moment. Take a look:

 

  1. Go to the Employees menu and select View Payroll Run Status.
  2. In the Recent payrolls section, select a payroll.
  3. Select the View Payroll Run Status drop-down and then Selected payroll. You'll see the status of the paycheck on the Payroll status window.

 

Here's a rundown of the different statuses and what they mean:

 

Sent to Intuit. We received your payroll and we're processing it.

Sent to Bank. We sent the debit request to your bank account. Your employees will get their direct deposit the next business day.

Payroll processed. We debited your account and sent the payroll to your employees' banks.

Should you see Debit request declined, this is usually due to insufficient funds in your bank account. We'll try to debit the money again 24 hours after the first attempt. Add funds to your account and wait for us to try again. Your payroll service will be placed on hold while we do this. This hold can take up to 5 business days.

Debit request rejected. This can happen for a few reasons.

  • Insufficient funds
  • The account is closed
  • Invalid account number
  • Unable to locate account
