Journal ENtry

Hello there, Bo-Orlando.

The ability to import Journal Entries (JE) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a great idea. However, this feature is only accessible to certain regions like Canada and the United Kingdom. You'll have to manually enter your journal entries. Alternatively, you can opt to use a third-party application to import them.

You can check for supported apps through this link: QuickBooks Apps Store or from the Apps menu.

Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, go to the Apps menu at the left pane to get to the Finds Apps page.
  2. Enter a keyword in the Search address.
  3. Choose the app you want to use.
  4. Once ready, click on Get app now.

Additionally, you can export your journal entries through an Excel file from QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Here's a step-by-step process on how:

  1. On the left navigation panel, click Reports.
  2. Search for the Journal report.
  3. Select a time frame from the report period drop-down.
  4. Click Export. Then, select Export to Excel.

Once done, you can upload your file to an outside QB payroll system.

Furthermore, you can also create journal entries for paychecks you make outside of QBO. Check out this article: Manually enter payroll paychecks in QuickBooks Online.

For future reference, here's a guide on printing your journal entries: Print a journal entry report in QuickBooks Online.

If you have additional concerns regarding journal entries, please leave a reply under this thread. I'll get back to make sure you get the assistance you need.
