Buy nowWhy can I not change the mapping of the National Sick Leave wage account? This is a Quickbooks account that was created for the Cares Act in which I have used for payroll and it is mapping to direct deposit payable. It isn't deferred wages and NOT owed to the employee. It is a company contribution in which the company received a tax break on these wages and should at least be mapped to payroll liabilities. Why can't we change this?!
Hi @Kate9766,
I'm here to assist with your query about the National Employee Sick Pay account.
The first thing I'd like to check is how this paid leave type was entered in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company. If you haven't followed the steps in this article: Pay employees under the Family First Coronavirus Response Act, then I suggest you go through with it.
Otherwise, I suggest you contact our QuickBooks Online Support for further assistance. They can investigate as to why the National Employee Sick Pay isn't mapped to the Payroll liabilities account.
More details on FFCRA are in this article: What you need to know about the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
