Need payroll information from Online to Desktop?

Great to see you here today, @faithcommunity93,

I want to make sure you're able to accomplish your payroll task. Let's get this sorted out.

May I know if you're transferring your payroll information into QuickBooks Desktop? If so, there is currently a limitation on what specific items you can import into the software.

At this time, you can only import your employee lists using an IIF file. However, if you'd like to bring in all your payroll transactions, it has to be entered manually to complete your year-to-date information.

You may refer to this article to know more about our import limitations and how to create an IIF file: Export or import IIF files.

Once you have the file ready, you can now import your employee list. Let me guide you how to do that:

  1. Log in to your company file as the Admin.
  2. You must be in Single User mode.
  3. Go to the File tab.
  4. Select Utilities then click Import.
  5. Choose IIF Files.
  6. Locate the IIF file from your folder.
  7. Highlight the file then select Open.
  8. Click OK on the prompt to confirm the import.

After importing your employee list, you can start entering your YTD information. You can check out these articles to know more about the entering payroll information and prior tax payments:

That should get you on the right track, @faithcommunity93.

If you're referring to something else, please feel free to mention me in the thread. I'll be glad to share any information to help you get back to business. Have a great day!
