Not getting File Forms or View Print Forms & W2s. Also we were scammed by a ProAdvisor.

We have Enterprise with Assisted Payroll.  File Forms and View Print Forms & W2s don't come up.  Scammer ProAdvisor said this would take a couple more days to update before we could pull these up. 

 

We had called this ProAdvisor because of this problem.  He said it was because we had too many file errors, and that to fix our file, it would be either $24.99/mb for 756 mbs of data, or we could sign a 3 year contract for cloud backup and other services.  We pay a total of $11k, and he had the file 'repaired' within an hour.  We panicked, but now realized this was highly unethical, and don't believe they should be operating as a certified advisor.

 

2 issues here.  Please help.

We've received reports from other users concerning scammers impersonating tech support from genuine companies. Any remote sessions performed during the call should be disconnected or uninstalled to secure your account.

In case you need to reach out to our QuickBooks Desktop Support Team, you can do so by:

  1. Select the Help option on the top menu.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help and then click on Contact Us.
  3. Type in the reason for a callback request and pick Continue.
  4. Go to Get a Callback.
  5. Enter your contact information and choose to Confirm my call.

When in quickbooks,  if I select HELP>Quickbooks Desktop Help,  there is no tab for Contact Us. 

 

It just says Get started with QuickBooks Desktop, then a lot of topics starting with Set up QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, Add your employees, etc. 

 

Please assist for where to do next.

The 'Contact Us' box/button flashes on and off (disappears) so fast I can't even click on it, after trying half a dozen times.  It's at the bottom of the help box when it flashes on and off.

If the Contact Us option at the bottom disappears when you open the Help window, try typing in a question to make it re-appear. It should appear like this:

The search bar does not appear, and neither does the 'Contact Us' button.  Please have someone contact us to fix this function, as it is very difficult to contact Intuit support otherwise.  Thank you.

You can directly go to this link, then select QuickBooks Desktop, click Continue as a guest and choose the version you're using. On the Contact Us page, click Search for something else and enter your question in the Tell us more about your question field, then click the Start a Message button at the bottom. I'm adding screenshots below for your visual reference.

I followed the link, and when I click Quickbooks Desktop, it goes to "Stop!  Open Quickbooks to contact us 

If you use Quickbooks 2017 or later, press F1 or select Help>Quickbooks Desktop Help to get help faster"

 

It does not go to the Contact Us page.

 

Please help! We are running Enterprise on a server if that makes any difference.

Once you're prompted with the Stop! Open QuickBooks to contact us screen, just click the Continue as a guest button. Then choose the Enterprise version. You will be routed to the Contact Us page wherein you can choose a topic.

 

Be sure to select a second topic for the Message Us option to appear. You can check the screenshots provided by my colleague above.

I wanted to update you on this.  Once I finally got into a chat thru Contact Us, I described our problem of not having a Contact Us button or Search Bar after Help>Quickbooks Desktop Help.  They said to delete our QBW.ini file, reset Internet Explorer, and then reboot our computer.  (We have Enterprise on a server, so that may be some of the cause of these issues).  Doing these recommended did not fix the problem.  My IT guy did this: after Help>Quickbooks Desktop Help, he right clicked the mouse, clicked 'Refresh', and I then got a Contact Us button, but no Search Bar.  He then left clicked on Contact Us, then clicked the Back button, and then I had both the Search Bar and Contact Us button.  This has been the only way for us to achieve this:  Refresh, then back button, then we have Search Bar and Contact Us.  Hopefully Intuit can find the issue here so they can clean up their code.  Thank you for your time.  We are good for now.
