Online Payroll

I am trying to run QB payroll for the first time.  I get an error message: Required Field not specified. I am unable to click and determine which required field is referenced.  I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with Support who could not find any issue with my payroll setup. They were stumped as to what the error message was referencing.  They finally told me this was an ongoing investigation.  Meanwhile, I have employees wanting to be paid!  My payroll was due on Friday.   Is anyone else having this problem?  I am seriously considering a new payroll provider.

Glad to have you here in the Community, @JayneRae.

I appreciate you reaching out to our support team with your payroll issue and was able to found out that there's an ongoing investigation on the error you've received. Rest assured that our product engineers are diligently working for a permanent fix on the issue.

As a workaround, you can consider entering paychecks outside the system. This way, you can pay your employees this coming Friday.

For now, you can visit our blog site so you'll be able to get the latest news about QuickBooks and what our Product Care Team is working on.

Thank you for your patience while we work for a fix. Please keep in touch if there's anything else I can do to help you succeed with QuickBooks. I'll be more than happy to assist you again.

This is not helpful.  I purchased this payroll program specifically for Direct Deposit.  Not being able to do direct deposit leads me to believe I should purchase different software.

I can see your point, @JayneRae.

Rest assured that this issue is just temporary and our engineering team is now working nonstop to get a resolution as quickly as possible. For the time being, you can consider issuing paychecks outside the system as mentioned by Mark_R above.

I also recommend reaching out to our Support Team so a representative can add your account to the list of affected users. Once added, you'll automatically receive email notifications of the email updates.

Here's how to contact support:

  1. Click the (?) Help icon.
  2. Choose the Talk to a human option (then type it again when prompted).
  3. When asked by the bot, type "Affected by report issue. Reference number: INV-53411."
  4. Select I still need a human.
  5. Proceed with Contact us.
  6. Click Let’s talk then choose either Get a call or Start messaging

For the old Help menu:

  1. Go to the Help icon, then select Contact Us.
  2. Type "Affected by report issue. Reference number: INV-53411" in the What can we help you with box.
  3. Proceed with the Let's talk button.
  4. Select either Start messaging or Get a call button.

Hello,

Did you ever resolve this issue?  We have the same problem for the last three months for two employees!!! We called customer service literally more than 25 times, and spent hours. They still did not fix it.

We are tired of this, and about to go to another company.
