Payroll Advances & Repayments

You need to correct the mapping for the deduction to the one that you created, or you need to use the QBO account when you write the draw check to the employee.  If you choose to use the account you set up, you can re-map the deductions in the payroll settings (gear Icon) and at the bottom of the payroll setting list of things you can change there is "accounting."   Using the pencil icon, you go in and find the Other liability and asset section.  There should be a pencil for that one too.  There should be a pull down for Cash Advance Repayment. You can choose the account you used.  Then there is an "update transactions" and it has a pencil icon too.  You can choose how far back you want to go (but only 200 transactions at a time) and use this feature to make the corrections needed to the past payrolls that went to the wrong account. I hope this makes sense and that it helps.
