If you're using QuickBooks Direct Deposit Services, you'll need to send a Direct Deposit Primary Principal Change Request. The complete instruction and downloadable form are provided in this article: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1437054.
Once we receive the form, our back end team will review the request and the attached requirements. Processing takes 3 to 5 business days from the date the complete requirements are received. Please wait for an email confirming the status of your request.

I am not using direct deposit but still need to update owner/principal - how do I do this?

Thank you for posting here in the Community. It would be my pleasure to answer any questions you may have with changing the primary principal in QuickBooks Desktop.
You can complete the Primary Principal Change form to update the current principal on your account. To download, you can follow the set of instructions found in the article I suggest on this (scroll down to Change the primary principal):
Change primary principal for Basic, Standard, and Enhanced Payroll.

I put the wrong ss# and birthday for the owner/principal when setting up direct deposit. How can I change this?

Hi -We're selling our incorporated company as of July 1, 2024. How do we transfer the quickbooks desktop & payroll account to the new owner's name and update to their payment information. Can we do that via my intuit log in or do I have to submit some form to Intuit for the change?
