Payroll Mapping - Missing Pay Types

On the Payroll Item Mapping Tool, I'm missing "Holiday Pay" on the Holiday Pay drop down box on some of the employees under the Map Employees tab.  But the "Holiday Pay" is showing on the drop down box on our 4 newest employees.

Is there a way to update the payroll item list in the drop down boxes (see attached file) for all employees on the Payroll Item Mapping Tool?

Glad to see you here in the Community, @Barry_57.

If you're referring to the Payroll Item Mapping Tool in QuickBooks Time (QB Time), there's a way to update the payroll item list for all employees.

First, let's ensure you've selected Holiday Pay under the pay types for all employees in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll show you how:

  1.  In your QBO account, go to Payroll and select Employees.
  2. Select an employee.
  3. In the Pay types section, select Edit.
  4. Under the Common pay types dropdown, make sure to tick the box for Holiday Pay.
  5. Click Save.

Repeat the same steps for each employee to guarantee they have Holiday Pay as a pay type.

Once done, we can sync it to QB Time so it will reflect the changes. Here's how:

  1. Open your QB Time account.
  2. Click the QuickBooks logo and select Import.
  3. Go back to the QuickBooks logo and select Payroll Item Mapping Tool.
  4. On the Map Employees tab, select Holiday Pay as a pay type for all employees.

However, if you've already checked the box for Holiday Pay in QBO, we can uncheck it and sync it back to QB Time before performing the process mentioned above.

Here's an article with a list of payroll reports you can run if you'll want to view useful information about your business and employees: Run payroll reports in QuickBooks Online Payroll.
