After submitting payroll and reviewing and then it goes to the page where you would put in the check numbers and print the payroll checks, Quickbooks has removed the "print checks " option and replaced with print paystubs.

I cannot find previous 941s (like from 2021 & Q1-Q2 of 2022) and 940s (from 2021). They were available previously...

They haven’t answered anything. I was on the phone yesterday for an hour going through this and once again no manager help no supervisor. Quickbooks has the worst customer service and doesn’t care about its customers. The past two updates are horrible. If you have an answer then say it.
My problem is it says that I need to update so when I press the update button and then it says I have updated to the latest then go to start an unscheduled payroll it starts all over again with I need to update. if I skip this then it doesn't take any taxes out. so frustrating

I recognize the urgency of sorting this out as soon as possible so you could get back to processing your payroll. Before anything else, may I know your payroll subscription and where the Update button is located in QuickBooks?
Payroll automatically updates if you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll. However, if you're using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Payroll make sure that you have a supported QuickBooks and ensure that the tax table is up-to-date.
If the payroll item was correctly set up, I recommend verifying and rebuilding your QuickBooks data to isolate the issue.

I'm having a similar problem. I click on get payroll updates (even though I have chosen automatic updates) and nothing happens, my tax tables are still expired as of June 30, 2023.

You'll just have to send your payroll data or usage data to resolve this error. Before performing the steps below, make sure to update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release and create a backup copy of your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Once successful, try to get the latest tax table update in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll. It'll let you have the newest tax table that provides up-to-date, accurate rates and calculations for federal and supported state taxes, payroll tax forms, and e-file and e-pay options.

I have been having problems with Enhanced Payroll - Desktop since we got it in October 2023. Updates do not work! I call support and after hours, we get it where it will work for possibly payrolls then back to the same thing. It doesn't figure the taxes. I have it on automatic updates. I have let customer support get on my desktop and tell me directly what to do. It is only good for possibly 2 payrolls. Ridiculous! We pay way too much to keep having this problem!
