I was really hoping that since I was being forced into quickbooks online payroll I would see some advantages. But so far I do not see much. I was hoping the reports would be better but they are actually the same.
I hope an admin does not respond with some boiler plate response and just clog up this thread. I hope to hear from real users only.
Thanks

Advantages Disadvantages of QuickBook Online Payroll over intuit online payroll
Advantage: Money can get into our employees bank acounts faster. I think they call that 24 hour deposit..
Disadvantage. We no longer to have the ability to print a batch of reports in a one swoop after we submit payroll.
With Intuit online payroll we were given the option to print many reports with a single click as soon as we had submitted payroll. But I am told that is not an option in QuickBooks online payroll. Now we must go and print each report individually. This is a huge loss.
One advantage of Quick Books Payroll over Intuit is that on some reports you can choose and pick multiple locations/departments. (i.e summary payroll report). In Intuit Online payroll I could only choose one location or all my department/locations. But with Quick Books Payroll I can choose (combine) several locations and leave out locations. I like this.
Thanks
Disadvantage of Quikbooks online payroll:
Intuit payroll's "Total Payroll Cost" included deductions such as child support and health insurance. How can I make these other deductions show up in the total payroll cost report like it did in Intuit Online?
Thanks

I would like to be able to run the Payroll detail reports with total and detail check but exclude individual employee data.
I just want to see the total gross, reg, OT, salary, vacation, holidays and total deductions, health insurance, dental, child support, 401k etc> I want to see the grand totals of each of these without seeing any individual employee data.
Thanks
I appreciate you for sharing the details of your concern, @LDO. I'd be glad to provide the steps on how you can run the report with the data you need to see in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Follow these steps to proceed with pulling up the Payroll details report:
Furthermore, you're able to focus on the details that matter the most to you when you pull up reports in QBO. If you wish to know more about this process, I'd recommend checking out this article: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.
In addition, you can export the report to Excel for a better view of the payroll data you need.
In case you need to run other payroll reports, here's the complete list of available payroll reports in QBO: Run payroll reports. It also includes their description, how to print one, and marking them as your favorite.

The only advantage that I see is in the profits that Intuit will see by forcing us into a more expensive payroll solution.
we are so disappointed with all of this. Since the conversion we have had multiple problems. It took two weeks for them to fix the QB Time sync issue and today we find out that we can no longer print on blank check stock which we could in Inuit Online Payroll. So we basically have to increase the cost to our clients and we can’t even give them the same service we did.
My hope is that enough of us will make enough noise to get Intuit to listen they won’t but I can hope.
