Buy nowHi HugoSyd!
You have an option to update the tax exemptions of your employees. Let me help you!
Please follow these steps on how to review and update it:
Once done, you'll see a pop-up to inform you of your next steps, the taxes that are updated, and whether or not you have to reimburse the employee in the next check. Also, you will see adjustment checks on your paycheck list.
In addition, you can check this link: Run payroll reports. This will show you how to pull up payroll-related reports in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Nope, that wasn't the question. I have the employee tax set correctly. No tax was ever withheld. But under tax filings QB is telling me to file Unemployment quarterly for the state that doesn't require it. Both quarters that it has reminders for are zero balance with a made-up id number (12345678).
How do I get rid of the QB generated quarterly filing?
Nope, doesn't answer the question. I have the employees tax withholdings set correctly. However QB has set up a state unemployment filing for 2 different quarters for me to file. I don't have an unemployment account with that state and aren't required to file. Both QB generated quarterly filings have a made up tax id number (1234567) and are zero balance. How do I get rid of the quarterly filing prompt and prevent it for the future?
Hi there, @HugoSyd.
Allow me to step in and help you with the state unemployment that isn't required for filing.
Please make sure that you're employees are already tax exempted to avoid getting a notification in the future.
I'd also suggest you reach out to our Support Team to provide you with options in filing your tax and not getting any pop-ups. They also have the tools to check your account in a secure environment.

Yep, thanks for that. I have talked to QB twice, the 2nd time the "help" told me to change the addresses of the employees...
Did you ever get help with this issue that worked? I'm encountering it that myself now. Any suggestions would help.

I had to call back again and talk to another live "agent", that time I got someone that could actually understand the question and solve the issue.
