QBO Plus with Full Service Payroll: What is the delivery date for 2018 W2s

Welcome to the Community, @chaneynow.

 

I'll be happy to explain when you're employees should be expecting their W2s.

 

W2s have already begun to be sent out. All W2s will be mailed out by January 31st at the latest. 

 

You'll be able to access them online by January 31st at the latest, but they should be available much sooner than that.

 

You can quickly access and print W-2 forms.

  1. From the left menu, select Taxes, then Payroll Tax.

  2. In the Forms section, select the Annual Forms link.
  3. Select either All Employees or a specific employee name from the drop-down menu provided.
  4. Select the W-2, Copies BC & 2 link. It takes you to the Printable Employee Copies: Form W-2 page.
  5. Choose the appropriate period from the drop-down menu.
  6. Select View to launch Adobe Reader in a new window.
  7. Select the print icon on the Reader toolbar. Then select Print again.

This article just simply is not true.  There is no "Annual Forms" in the Forms tab.  Nor are the individual W-2's there .  There is only the W-2 file submitted on behalf of the company from Quickbooks Full Service Payroll to the IRS.

The article provided by SterlingD is applicable for QuickBooks Online users with Enhance Payroll subscription. For QuickBooks Online Payroll Full Service, you can check out this link: Frequently Asked Questions: Forms W-2 and 1099.

 

Currently, we've received reports about missing employee W2s from Full Service Payroll. Our engineers are still working to fix this. I'd recommend reaching out to our Full Service Payroll Support Team. They can add your profile to the list of affected users and keep you up to date about this.

 

In additional to that, they can also help you create a request so you can print the W2s.
