Quickbooks direct deposit not working with Work Force

So it's been at least three years since Quickbooks payroll stopped working for employees to view their pay stubs, and to this date we still have no solution.  Ever since Intuit stopped the service on ViewMyPaycheck, our employees no longer able to view their pay stubs online.  Recently I discovered that Intuit started the similar service called Work Force, which is supposed to provide payroll information to employees, but when I turned on that service, the invites were delivered to our employees and they could log in, but they still couldn't see their pay stubs.  Turned out, when I tried to send the direct deposit today, the direct deposit didn't even go through.  I realized maybe that Work Force service was causing the issue, so I turned it off, and it finally went through, only a few minutes before the deadline.  It's clear that Work Force and Enhanced Payroll are not working hand in hand and our employees are still not able to see the pay stubs.  I'm tired of Intuit slacking off to fix this issue for over three years - we're paying for the payroll service which is supposed to come with the pay stub distribution to employees, but Intuit does not provide the service or not fixing it for the same amount of money we pay.  I feel that we should get a refund for the service that is not even working or I'd better off go some other payroll service outside of Quickbooks.  This is getting too old.

Quickbooks direct deposit not working with Work Force

Hello there, EK99.

This isn’t the kind of impression I want to leave when using QuickBooks Workforce. Allow me to share some information about why your employees are unable to their paystubs.

This may happen if the previous payslips were not uploaded. The employer has switched payroll services with us. This is common at the beginning of a new year and you won’t be able to see pay stubs from the prior year.

If you’re able to upload all the payslips, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team for further investigation. Our specialist will collect some information to pull up your Workforce account.

From there, they’ll review the setup and make sure it’s properly configured. This way, you can use direct deposit and Workforce without any issues. Aside from that, your workers can view their stubs smoothly.

  1. Click on the Help icon at the top menu bar to select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. When the Have a Question window opens, scroll down to choose the Contact us link.
  3. This will display the Contact Us screen.
  4. Tap the Search for something else link and type the issue or topic in the field box. For example, contact payroll support.
  5. Press the Search button to display the Get Phone Number or Start a Message button.

Let me also share these articles for future reference. The following resources provide information on how to manage your QuickBooks Workforce account and steps to view the paychecks.

Keep in touch if you need help with QuickBooks. I’ll get back to assist further. Have a good one.

Quickbooks direct deposit not working with Work Force

I think you are missing my point.  Work Force does not work with Enhanced Payroll.  If I turn on Work Force, it won't even let me send the direct deposit.  I had to turn off Work Force feature because of this issue last night (if it is turned off, the direct deposit would go through).  Second of all, I don't think it's the upload issue.  All of my payroll data is uploaded each time I submit the direct deposit, and sometimes I do this regardless to check the data communication status, so all of the direct deposit data is always synchronized.  Or are you telling me that I have to upload the payroll data to somewhere else?  I've been dealing with this pay stub bs all these three years and Intuit never really provided a good answer.  Last June I had been told that Intuit was aware of the issue and still working to resolve that long outstanding issue.  We've been using Quickbooks since 2003 and Enhanced Payroll since 2007 and I've never had any issues until Intuit eliminated ViewMyPaycheck service.

What kind of service is that?  3 years of payroll service without employee access to pay stubs and you can still maintain the service?  I know this issue exists because I'm not the only one who is having the issue and several others have posted the same concern over 3 years here.  None of the help responses with regards to this matter here ever helped anyone (the solution posted did not work at all for anyone), and the support chat also did not provide an answer that resolved the issue.  I had to go through 3 people to get to the person who finally said that the issue was still being worked on and that was last June.  Just thinking Intuit procrastinating to fix this issue for 3 years makes me think that either no one at Intuit really don't care about the issue or no one at Intuit are seriously concerned of the issue to fix.

Sorry, I'm really seriously thinking to switch the payroll service to somewhere else.  I'm tired of the underhanded responses I'm getting from Intuit.  Enhanced Payroll is not a cheap service.  We pay over $600 annually plus the fees each time direct deposit occurs, and we cannot pay for a service that is incomplete.
