I just started paying our employees using Direct Deposit and when I go to print pay stubs on preprinted checks I can't get it to stop printing the company name and address in the upper left corner. Also, in the past when I used Direct Deposit it printed "Direct Deposit" on the signature line and now it's just blank. Pay period isn't printing on the memo line either. I went into payroll preferences and unchecked the company name and address but it still prints.

Paystubs are presumed to be printed on blank paper, why would you use checks? Just to use them up?

Good point. I have checks for this account that were only used for payroll but I believe everyone will be okay with receiving them via e-mail instead. If they need a paper copy I will use plain paper instead.
If you enroll in the ViewMy Paycheck app you can upload the paystubs without printing and the employees can access it themselves. Something else to think about
A handful of our employees are going to do that. I have used that feature at a previous employer and thought most of them would prefer that option.
Hello there, @ShultzRollins.
Allow me to help share some additional input about providing pay stubs to your employees.
Yes, you're right. You can still print pay stubs to your employees after Direct Deposit has been sent to Intuit. However, for employees who prefer receiving them online, you have two options to do that.
You can email the pay stubs manually or send them automatically to the ViewMyPaycheck (VMP) website or QuickBooks Workforce. Please refer to the steps I've attached below based on which method you want to use.
If you choose to use VMP, when you create and send direct deposit paychecks in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, Intuit uploads your paychecks to the website automatically.
This information should help get you back on track for providing the pay stubs to your employees. Feel free to hit the Reply button below if you have any other questions about this or about payroll. I'll be happy to help you further. Have a great rest of your week.
Thank you! The e-mail and ViewMyPaycheck was working but stubs weren't printing correctly. I was contacted by a QB Advisor and it turns out we have something going on in the software that was preventing it from syncing so even though I had the correct selections made it's not syncing and working correctly. Luckily, all employees are good with receiving an e-mail and using ViewMyPaycheck so we're good.
