You can subscribe to our stand-alone payroll called "Intuit Online Payroll (IOP)." With this, you'll be able to run payroll and pay your one employee using printable checks.

Using the IOP basic plan, you won't be able to make payments and file federal or state taxes, while the IOP Enhanced plan can.
