Can anyone tell me what I might be missing in employee setup that I can't run my payroll?

It says my setup is incomplete... no idea what they think is missing...

Can anyone tell me what I might be missing in employee setup that I can't run my payroll?

Let me share the reason why you're missing an employee setup when running a payroll in your account.

 

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you may see an employee with a highlighted exclamation point in the Employees tab. This means that the employee has some missing information. With this, you can click the employees to check it and for you to be able to fill it.

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. On the left navigational panel, select Payroll.

  2. Click Employees.

  3. You'll see a highlighted exclamation point of the employee.

  4. Choose the employee who appears to have missing information.

  5. From there, look for the exclamation point under Profile.

  6. Select Start so that you can fill in the necessary details.

  7. Once done, hit Save.
