I am trying to help a new employee set up an account on workforce to the paystubs, since we pay direct deposit. Since I manually filled out the new employee's W4, I don't know how to trigger the automatic email with the link for the employee to access the paystubs online. Help!
Thanks for posting in the Community, @Carolina.
I'm happy to help trigger an invitation email for your employee so they can successfully access their paystubs online.
Please log in with the Master admin role when inviting your employee. Then perform the following steps:
Your employee will receive an email from Intuit Services. This email is sent from Intuit Services at QBOPayrollNoReply@intuit.com. Let your employee follow the email's instruction. If your employee does not see the invite, please review the email address entered for the employee, resend as needed or advise your employees to check spam folders.
For more information about setting up paystub access, you can check out this helpful article: Set up online pay stub access for employees QuickBooks Workforce.
That should do it. Let me know if you have other questions about the setup process. I'm always here to help.
Hi @Anonymous , thank you very much for your answer.
I am trying to log in to Workforce with the same log in I use for QuickBooks (I am assuming that is the Master admin, isn't it?) and it says "We can't get your info. Your employer isn’t connected to QuickBooks Payroll. Contact them to access your paycheck." It is treating the log in as an employee. How do I sing in as the Master?
Thank you!
Thanks for coming back to the Community and for providing the exact error message, Carolina.
Allow me to help you send an invite to your employee for QuickBooks Workforce.
You'll have to log in to QuickBooks Online using the Master Admin role. Then, enter the employee's email address in the box just below the Hire date. You can follow the steps shared by my colleague above.
I'll also add screenshots for your visual point of reference.
The information above should help you get pointed in the right direction. I want to ensure that you're able to resolve this concern, so please let me know how it goes by posting a comment below. Best regards.
NOT SEEING ANY PAYCHECKS
I'm an employee. I 've made an account via the invitation link. I can get logged in, but can't see any paychecks or any deposit info. it's been more than three months. Still not working. Please help!
Hello @kuldipjyb,
We've received several reports from other users like who are unable to access their paychecks online. I'm here to share them and help you from there.
But first, may I know if you're prompted with an error message? Any details you can provide can help me look for any reported issue related to it.
Nevertheless, if you're prompted with these following error messages We Weren't Able to Show Your Payroll Info or We Don't Have Your Payroll Info Yet, we have an on-going issue related to these error messages.
Rest assured that this has been escalated to our payroll and engineering team and they're in all hands working to fix this as soon as possible.
In addition, I'd recommend contacting our Payroll Care Team so someone from there can help you access your paychecks online. Also, you'll be added to the list of affected users and will receive available updates through email.
To contact our dedicated team, you can check this article for the specific payroll support you need: Which Payroll Service Do You Need Help With?
We that you for your patience as we're working on this. Please let me know in the comment section down below if you have any other concerns or if you're referring to something else.
we are using this on more then one company and are trying to know how to show the employees to link the accounts so they can see both companies in view - but do not see how
We can invite them to both companies, haklor.
You can log in to your first company file and then invite the employee to view pay stubs and W-2s. Then, access the other QuickBooks account and invite the employee. You can use the same email address and let the employee use the same credentials when accepting the invite.
I'll show you again how to send invites to your employees:
Let them accept the invite from their email. Once they've accepted the invite for both companies they can select which company they'll want to view.
You can always get back to me if there's anything else you need help with. Take care always and have a great day!
thank you actually when they respond to the email - it walks them though setting up a new pass word - when they try to enter the previous password it says this user name is already in place and asks if they need to re-set the password or to log in when they log in only their original company shows in the drop down option.
Do i have them select a second password ? actually it wont even let me just use a different password - it says that username is already in use. And when i try signing in with same information from first company it says oops something went wrong.
sorry for multiple responses - but i know that some of my employees have tried different email addresses and that is even more a problem. They spend 2 hours + on chat to get them to help them link the accounts - so i was trying it on my own account to see if i could give new employees the proper steps - but dont see how to do it ;( [email address removed]
I understand it can get frustrating having to go through multiple troubleshooting steps and not having any of them work can be a real pain, haklor.
I appreciate you for providing us in-depth details of your concern and screenshots to better isolate this issue. I've checked here on our end and we have an ongoing issue about this one. This is when employees get an error message "Oops, something went wrong" when they received the Workforce email invitation, though they signed in with the existing user ID and password.
Our engineers are still investigating what's causing this issue and working for the permanent fix.
Cases like this, it would be best to contact our Payroll Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and add you to the list of affected users.
Here's how to reach them:
