Does anyone know if it will cost more to switch payroll to every week instead of every 2 weeks?

Glad to see you here! I'd be happy to answer your payroll-related questions, rockafelrm.

 

There's no difference or extra cost if you change the frequency or how often you'll be processing payroll. The usage fee is calculated based on the number of employees you paid and not on how many paychecks were created.

 

Let me also share these steps on how to change the pay period:

 

  1. Go to Payroll menu and select Employees.
  2. Click the name of the employee, then look for the Edit link in the Employment details section.
  3. From the Pay schedule ▼ dropdown, select the pay schedule for the employee moving forward. To create a new pay schedule, select + Add pay schedule.
  4. Fill out the appropriate fields. Then select Save.
  5. When you're done, select Save.
