Does quickbooks pos systems (Quickbooks GoPayment or direct from QB app) integrate customer information like their names from Credit Card Transactions?

I'm excited about the Mailchimp integration. I sell at farmers' markets and use the market name as my blanket customer entry for all transactions. I think it would be advantagous for me to start getting customers names to build out profiles. It would be tedious to do it on the spot but wondering if the customers' name on their credit card would automatically sync in QB's customer list.

We’re unable to automatically sync customer’s data from credit card to customers list, @humbleabode.davi

I recognize how beneficial for your business to be able to add your customer’s data directly into QuickBooks. However, this is currently unavailable.

In QuickBooks, we’ll need to create a customer profile in the customer list so you can keep track of your transactions specific for this person. From there, we can add the credit card as the payment method. I’ll show you how:

  1. On the left pane, select Sales then Customers.
  2. Click New Customer.
  3. Enter your customer’s info.
  4. On the Payment section, select credit card under the Primary payment method drop down.
  5. Tap Save.

I’ve added some snippets below for your visual references:

Please also know that QBO will only allow you to store credit card information for your respective customers if you've signed up for QuickBooks Payments. If you wish to apply, visit this article for the detailed steps: Sign up for QuickBooks Payments.

Once done, you can now update your customer’s credit card information. Take note that the card will be verified by Intuit. Check out this article to be guided: Edit a customer's credit card information.
