DT to QBO import a disaster......

The transfer from Desktop to QBO did not go well. Particularly setting up payroll. In updating payroll info for first quarter 2024, and April/May 2024 the program hangs up with a "something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes." message. That was more than 12 hours ago with me unable to move forward. Ive been forced to go back to DT to do this weeks payroll.  This is incredibly frustrating considering that both programs are Intuit products. I expected better!

Suggestions for fixing this issue?

DT to QBO import a disaster......

Being able to import data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is crucial for your business to help you keep going in managing your financials. I'm here to ensure you successfully update your payroll info so you can move forward, Aquaspa1.

Unexpected issues, such as the program hanging up while entering April/May 2024 payroll info, could be due to browser-related issues. To fix this, let's do some troubleshooting steps.

Start by accessing your QBO account in a private or incognito window, as this doesn't store cache that may cause odd behaviors. Please refer to the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

After logging in again, if you no longer see the error message, return to your regular browser and clear the cache to remove accumulated data and refresh the system. If the issue persists, try using other supported browsers, as the problem may be temporary and specific to the browser you're currently using.

Additionally, you can edit your prior payroll if you haven't created any paychecks yet. Here's how:

  1. Go to Payroll.
  2. Click Overview.
  3. Then, make the necessary changes.

No change. I neglected to say I was using the App and not working thru a browser. After your reply I tried following your steps for clearing the cache and then logged in to QBO thru Google chrome. I hit the same error message at exactly the same point. I also triple checked my figures to

male sure there wasn’t a math error
