It's y priority for you to set your actual vehicle expenses in your account, redfoxtruckingga.
In QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), we use the standard mileage method to calculate your estimated taxes. However, we can use the actual expenses method to calculate and deduct the amount you actually spent using your car for business.
Here's how:
- Go to the Transactions menu.
- Find a transaction on the list.
- Categorize your vehicle expenses by marking them as Business (for both personal and business travel).
- Under the Expense category section, select Car and Truck. If you are not seeing it, use any vehicle list in this article: Schedule C: Car and truck.
