How do you have your account unfrozen from Intuit Risk management team when they froze it for no reason but a large transaction?

Sent a large payment to a supplier and had my account frozen. Now told I have to wait 3 to 5 days to have it looked at. Who can run a business like this. I have sent in all the documentation they ask for. Does anyone know who I can talk to to have it unfrozen. Some of my employees live paycheck to paycheck and have kids to feed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you use the Search bar at the top of any page here in the community, you can find hundreds of others that have had the same thing happen.  Some have their accounts closed permanently (For no reason). Others have to wait weeks, or even months on end and still never see it.  A large number are having to wait 9 months, just to find out that they have to collect the money from their state.

You see, QB "holds" the money so that they can collect interest off of it.  It's totally unethical, but they don't care, because who is going to stop them?

It is recommended that you file complaints with BBB, FTC, your state Attorney General, and even the Consumer Financial Protection Agency. File complaints EVERYWHERE you can think of.

Also, there are a few posts regarding class action lawsuits.  You can use the same Search bar to find those threads, if interested.

Good luck.

Hi there, @cmosh, and Welcome to the Community.

If your account has been frozen, you will receive an email from us with instructions on what steps to take next. Please read the email carefully and follow the instructions provided to fix the frozen account. Once our Risk Management team has received the necessary documents from you, they will complete the review process and process your payment.

Unfortunately, I am not able to provide you with the phone number of our Risk Management team. However, if you have not received a phone call from them yet, you can contact our QuickBooks Payments team for assistance. They will be able to provide you with an update on the status of the hold on your account. Here's how to get in touch with them:

1. In your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company, go to Help (?) at the top right corner.

2. Then choose or type Contact Us

3. Input your concern and select Let's talk.

4.  Choose how you want to reach us either of these:

  • Ask the community to get help from businesses like yours.
  • Start a chat with a support expert.

You can also check this article QuickBooks Payments Team for more details and be sure to review their support hours to know when agents are available.

Moreover, Ill share this article to help you understand holds on your payments and how to minimize them in the future: Find out why your funds are on hold.

Please know that I'm just a reply away if you need any further assistance with handling your accounts or any QuickBooks-related concerns. Have a great week.
