Allow me to share some information about manually entering the total number of car miles per year in QuickBooks Self-employed.
At the moment, QBSE does not allow manual entry of the total number of car miles per year to ensure accuracy and avoid calculation errors in deductions. However, as a workaround, if you use Google Timeline, you can import Google Trips to upload the total number of car miles per year. Here's how:
- At the left navigation panel, click Miles.
- Select the drop-down arrow beside the Add trip button.
- Choose Import Google trips.
- Select a start and end date, and enter the Google Drive URL.
- Then follow the screen directions.
