I have automated taxes on Quickbooks on line payroll. The app told me W2s were sent on 1-13-24. Why did my employees never get W-2s?

(I made copies and sent them out myself but they were sent late.)

This isn't the kind of experience we want you and your employees to encounter, lbuck. I understand how crucial it is to receive the W2 forms on time.

Allow me to share some details about this and ensure this gets checked.

For QuickBooks Online Payroll with automated taxes and forms filing, we’ll mail the W-2s to your employees’ home addresses via USPS starting January 16 through January 31, 2024.

Please note that there may be a delay in the delivery of paperless W-2s due to significant changes in the process this year. Several factors, such as increased volumes or logistical challenges, can also affect the timely delivery of these forms to your employees.

To ensure the cause of the delay gets investigated and check the status, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They have tools to help your employees receive the forms.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
  3. Enter "unable to process scheduled payment" in the Type something field, then click the Send icon.
  4. Click on I still need a human.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. You can either select Chat with us or Have us call you.

I appreciate your understanding on this matter. Please know that I'm determined to get this resolved. For other payroll-related concerns or questions, please keep me posted on this thread. I'm always here to help you out.
