If I processed my payroll with paydate on 7/24/2024, why are taxes not processed until 8/8/2024 and 8/15/2024 respectively? I also have not had payroll processed.

I ran payroll with paydate on 7/24/2024.  I have not had payroll deduct from the company's bank account yet.  The taxes (federal and state) are also not scheduled to be deducted until 8/8/2024 and 8/16/2024 respectively.  Please help!

Let me help you find out why taxes haven't been deducted when you processed payroll, usersusie.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) should automatically process and deduct taxes every time you run payroll. Let's take a look and check the settings if the Automate taxes and forms option is enabled. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, and then Payroll Settings.
  2. From the Taxes and forms section, select Edit.
  3. Ensure to tick the Automate taxes and forms box.

  4. Click Save.

However, if you've enabled the option, and still taxes aren't processed, I suggest contacting our support team so they can double-check why this is happening. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment.

In addition, learn how you want your payroll taxes and filings to be handled by QuickBooks works in the system. Go through this article for more details: Set Up QuickBooks Online Payroll to Pay and File Your Payroll Taxes and Forms.
