I can help you update your SUI rate, @pixidoc

You can go to the Payroll Settings to update your State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rate.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Click on the Gear icon () and select Payroll settingspayroll settings qbo.JPG
  2. Look for the Virginia tax section and click on the Edit icon (). virginia tax.JPG
  3. Enter the new rate in the Unemployment Insurance (UI) rate box on the Virginia tax info page.
  4. Make sure to provide all the necessary information.
  5. Click on OK to confirm the changes.

If you are unable to update the rate, I suggest reaching back to our Customer Support team. Send them the notice you've received and they'll update it from their end in a safe and secure environment.

Refer to these articles for more information about updating your State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rate:

Here's how you can pay and file your 941, 944, 943, 940, state, and local taxes using QuickBooks e-pay and e-file: Pay and file payroll taxes and forms electronically in QuickBooks Online Payroll

Let me know if you need further help or information about updating SUI rate. Keep safe, and have a wonderful day!

I have the exact same issue.  QB must make this change and getting a human at QB to actually understand and do it, seems impossible.
