If you're referring to the bank account used for payroll service, you can update it by heading to the Payroll settings and selecting the correct Checking account. I'll guide you through the process.
If the bank account type is incorrect, you can edit your bank information from your Chart of Accounts.
However, if you're referring to the bank account where the payroll is posted, you can update it from the accounting preferences. Afterward, you'll need to create a Journal entry or bank transfer to post it to the correct account.
If you require information on managing your payroll bank account, I can share this article with you: Change your payroll bank account.
Furthermore, I have provided resources to help you complete this year's payroll, prepare for the next, close the previous fiscal year, and get ready for the new one in QuickBooks Online.
Keep me posted if you have other concerns with payroll in QuickBooks. I'll be here to provide you with the support you need. Keep safe.
