overtime not paid

We can create an unscheduled payroll for an employee’s paycheck for the missing overtime pay from the last payroll run, Davi500.

Unscheduled payroll in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBO) is designed for situations where you need to issue a paycheck outside of your regular payroll schedule. This feature offers flexibility for paying employees in special circumstances, such as corrections, bonuses, missed payments, or off-cycle payments.

To create and send an unscheduled payroll:

  1. Click the Run payroll dropdown and choose an option based on what you’re paying for.
  2. Based on your selection, you may be asked additional questions. Enter any info about taxes or paycheck calculations. Once complete, select Continue
  3. Confirm or update the pay period and pay date, then choose the employee you want to pay from the list.
  4. Click Actions, then Edit paycheck to add pay details like hours worked, bonus amounts, commission, memos, or any other relevant paycheck info. If you use QuickBooks Time, select Review Approved Time.
  5. Choose Preview payroll to ensure everything is correct. Confirm the QuickBooks account used to track payroll payments.
  6. Select Preview payroll details, and choose either:
    • Save for later
    • Submit payroll
  7. Click Close.

To avoid similar issues in the future, ensure that all details are accurate before submitting payroll.
