Your employee's setup is correct. The reason the hours towards the job didn't show on the Profit and Loss by Customer Report is because time activities are non-posting transactions. The entries will reflect on the report once you create invoices. I'm adding screenshots for visual reference.bill ex.1.pngbill ex.2.png

Let's enter one to display the transaction in the report. Here’s how:

  1. Open the timesheet for the job and mark the box for Billable (h/r) to link the billable expense to your customer’s invoice.bill ex.png
  2. Next, click the New menu in the upper right to select Invoice under Customers.
  3. On the Invoice page, click the Customer drop-down to choose the client you’re working on.
  4. This will display the Add to Invoice window.
  5. From there, click the Add link for the billable time to associate the hours worked to the transaction.pl2.png
  6. Click Save to keep the changes.

Check out this guide to learn more about the Billable Expense feature and how to use it on transactions: Enter billable expenses.

You can consider using the Projects feature to easily track job costs, profitability, income, and expense. These resources provide an overview of the setup process and instructions to convert a sub-customer to a project.
