I've come to help you locate and identify payroll transactions in your account, suestanton.

After running your payroll, the direct deposit paychecks will be posted to the bank account you selected during the process. You'll want to make sure that there are no filters applied to the bank register, so you can see all the transactions. To do so:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Open the appropriate bank account.
  4. Click the Clear filter/View all option above the table.

You may also check the other accounts in your register. This might be that direct deposits are recorded under a different account. To do this, open a paycheck in the Paycheck Lists and see the Paid section. You'll see the bank account where the funds were taken out. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Payroll and select the Employees tab.
  2. Click on the Paycheck list link.
  3. From there, review the account under the Paid From section.

If you're still unable to view the transactions, I recommend performing some basic troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. It could be that the accumulated cache is the root cause of this unusual behavior. You can start by opening your QuickBooks company using a private or incognito window. These are the shortcut keys:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

If the paychecks are now showing, switch back to your regular browser and then clear its cache to delete the get rid of the junk files. Using other supported browsers can also help fix the problem.

Moreover, I'm sharing this guide to help you track payroll entries and other accounting data: Run payroll reports.

I'll be on this thread anytime you need further assistance managing direct deposits in your account. Feel free to reply to this post, and I'll make sure to get you covered. Keep safe!
