Unable to access Workforce in QBDT to enable invites

Using enhanced QBDT for payroll.  ~1/2 of my clients I'm able to send invites to set-up their workforce account.  The other 1/2 I am unable too to even access the invite page.  I keep getting an incorrect password error and unauthorized to access message?  Same password and login I always use as a PA to process payroll.  PLease advise why this is happening and how I can correct this problem.  I have clients waiting for their invites.

Unable to access Workforce in QBDT to enable invites

Thanks for making sure to use the same login details for payroll and Workforce, dso0216.

We'd want you to be able to sort this out and invite the employees to view their paystubs. Let's go to the Manage Your Account section and check if the correct account is attached to the company files that you're having issues with. The program uses this info when connecting to the cloud services for Workforce.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the File menu and select My Company.
  2. Proceed to the Manage Your Account section in the upper-right hand corner.
  3. If the user name is incorrect, click the small  Pencil icon beside it and log in to the correct account.

Aside from that, you also need to make sure that you're logged in as the Admin of the company file. This is different from your Intuit or payroll login details and is only specific to the company file.

Just go to the File menu and click Exit. Then, go back to the company file and log in as the admin. Once done, check if you can already send the invitations.

If you're still getting the same error even if the information is already correct, I recommend reaching out to our support teams for QuickBooks Workforce. They can take a closer look at these clients to check why you're getting an error message when sending invites.
