Reactivate Payroll

I cancelled my Enhanced Payroll subscription in error and have tried numerous times over several days to reactivate/resubscribe, but unsuccessful.  I tried from my online account, through my company file, and from the cancellation email.  From the company file and from my online account, I select resubscribe and fill out the form and click the terms box, but the resubscribe blue button doesn't activate.  It remains light blue and not active.  When I click from the email, I receive a " something's not quite right" with an exclamation point icon.  I noticed that there seems to be a discrepancy on my company payroll information shows my payroll is expired, but then online it shows expiry date is 9/26/2023 and I read somewhere that I have to wait until it expires to reactivate, but on my company file it says it has expired.  If in fact, it won't expire until 9/26/2023 and sub is active why am I unable to set up direct deposit for my employee.  When I try to do that I receive error code 40003.  I made sure qb is updated and payroll updates are current.  I have restarted QB.  I don't know what else I need to do.  This is very frustrating and I need to pay my employee!!

Reactivate Payroll

I can only imagine how challenging this situation must have been for you, 21stCentury. My main goal is to ensure you can activate your payroll subscription.

Let's start by re-instating your payroll service key. Doing so refreshes your payroll subscription and will re-activate your account. Here's how:

  1. Go to the QuickBooks Home Page screen.
  2. On your keyboard, press CTRLK.
  3. If you see your payroll service keys and Status is Inactive, take note of your payroll service key numbers.
  4. Click Edit, then remove and re-enter the service numbers in the box.
  5. Select Next until finish.
  6. Once done, click OK.

If it is still inactive, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team. They have tools to help them access and manage your account so they can re-subscribe. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue.
  5. Once done, click Message Us or Let's talk.

Also, please double-check if you have the newest tax table and if QuickBooks is updated to the latest release. This way, you'll have accurate calculations and fixes.

Once everything is all set, you can process payroll to ensure you pay your employees on time.

I appreciate your patience on this matter. Please keep us posted if you need additional assistance managing your employees and payroll. We're always here to help you out.

Reactivate Payroll

I did remove and reenter the service key, but still not working.  I also noticed that it is requesting verification, but when I click verify nothing happens. I guess I need to contact the Payroll Support Team at this point.
