Hi,
I have an issue with the ROE.
The first day worked doesn't match with QuickBooks. It seems that ROE shows the first day of the pay period.
He started on August 6, 2020, and the form shows August 2, 2020.
I couldn't edit the form. How can I fix the problem?
Thanks,
Joe

Hi VidaGeneral,
It's great you're using QuickBooks Online Payroll to help you produce accurate payroll forms you can always rely on. Block 10 in the ROE form involves the employee's first day of work for which he or she received insurable earnings. Making sure every detail is correct in your ROE document before filling it is important. I'll be happy to help.
ROEs are handled differently depending on which Payroll version you're using. Standard Payroll derives the necessary information from the employee's profile and the pay runs you produced in your books. It's important to note that the form created here isn't for submission, but rather to assist you to fill out a proper ROE form that you can submit to the government. Since you end up submitting your ROE manually with Standard Payroll, you have the flexibility to bring any changes you'd like before submitting your form. Here's an article to assist you with that: Create a Record of Employment (ROE)
Advanced Payroll also gathers information from the database to populate the ROE form, but provides the option to submit the form on your behalf. If you didn't opt-in for us to submit your form, you'll need to calculate the ROE manually using the paper ROE form from Service Canada.
In case you've authorized us to submit the form, what edits can be made and how is going to depend on how long ago you created the form and whether it's already been filed. For that reason, getting in touch with support is the best course of action as an agent will be able to pull up your account in a secure environment to gather the necessary information and let you know the next steps.
