Anyone else receive a software update today (January 28, 2021)? If you did, check your commission rates in the additions box for each employee. All of my rates had been rounded. I had to go change each one. I can only assume that the update is what caused this.
Let me share some insights about rounding decimal points or rates in QuickBooks, @LANDYRAY.
In payroll tax calculation, QuickBooks automatically round off the amount to have a flat rate. This feature helps you avoid discrepancies. Turning off the rounding feature when creating transactions is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop.
I understand that turning off rounding will be helpful since not everyone uses flat rates. Rest assured that I'll personally share your product suggestion to our engineers about turning off the rounding in QuickBooks.

I don't think we're "on the same page" with this one. I have payroll commission rates in the additions section of the employee payroll windows. For example, one employee has a rate of .035. All these years, it's been fine. Today, after a software update occurred, the rate was rounded to .04. I also have an employee with a rate of .0025....After the update, this employee rate was rounded to .00. What I'm trying to relay to Intuit is that the update that we received this morning "broke" the rates in the additions section of the employee payroll windows.
Allow me to step in and help find out why the payroll commission rate was rounded off after the payroll update, LANDYRAY.
I haven't received a similar report about the issue. To find out what's included in the update, check out this link: Latest payroll news and updates.
For now, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Team. They can create a case to isolate and investigate further about this behavior.
