standard users can't add timesheet

We use QBO Advanced and standard users can't add time. It says "only admins can add or edit time sheets."

Per QBO defined user roles standard users can enter timesheets, see below:

 

Standard User

You can set different levels of access for this user. They can work with customers, sales, vendors, and expenses. These users can enter timesheets, add users, update company info, or manage subscriptions.

 

I need these users to be able to add timesheets as well as the other functions of the role, not just "time-keeping only"

 

Please help.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. We appreciate you coming here with your question about user permissions. 

 

Since a standard user is suppose to have access to enter timesheets and it's showing this message, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team so they can further assist you. They'll be able to use their tools to walk you through some additional steps. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Help icon in the top right-hand corner. 
  2. Press the Contact Us button. 
  3. Give a brief description of the problem and hit Let's talk
  4. Scroll down and choose to Get a callback

standard users can't add timesheet

To update the community on this issue: QB is aware of the issue, has provided my co-worker and I with tickets, escalated to different tiers, etc. Each entry level help person is "shocked" that it doesn't work and goes through a standard, troubleshooting protocol that doesn't resolve the issue. QBhas not made resolving it an issue in over two years. At this point there is no ability to add basic time tracking to user roles, or to modify user roles that have basic time tracking enabled so that they can add expenses and time, view some items, but not others. The enable/disable permissions under user roles is mostly nonfunctional.
