Hello,

it should have been a temporary QBO technical issue as the same operation done the day after didn't have the same warning. I didn't update nor made any change at any employee sheet (actually I tried to understand which was the missing informatin but with no success) and I was able to run the payrolls as I'm always be used to do.

I appreciate you for coming back to the thread and clarifying your concern about receiving a warning for missing employee details. Let's perform troubleshooting steps so you can run payroll in QuickBooks Online smoothly.

 

I recommend logging into your QBO account on a private browser and running payroll from there. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue that might cause you to keep getting an unexpected error.

 

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:

 

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

 

If it works in incognito, I suggest clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above don't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.

I am having the same issue.  The error states that I need to enter personal information including date of birth, SSN, and address. That information is entered but it still shows up as an error.  I have tried two different computers, different browsers, incognito and I still receive the same error.

I received the error that I needed to enter personal information.  I have entered and re-entered the information.  Also, I have tried using two different browsers on different computers.

I can see that you did everything you could to fix this, @jravago. I know how difficult it is to be unable to process your tasks in QuickBooks Online (QBO) on time. I'll route you to the support that best handles this situation.

 

Since you still experience the same issue after performing the recommendations of my colleague above, I suggest contacting our phone support team to further investigate the root cause of the error. They can pull up your account in a secure place and can also perform a screen-sharing session (upon your request) to check your setup. Here's how:

 

  1. Navigate to the Help menu and go to the Search tab.
  2. Select Contact Us and enter a brief description of your concern. Example: Unable to run payroll. Getting error to enter employee's personal information.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Then, choose either the Chat or Call option to connect with them.

 

To ensure you'll able to get assistance immediately, please visit our support hours page

 

Once everything is fine, you can now proceed in processing your payroll.

 

Additionally, the program allows you to run reports to easily track your payroll information, business finances, and employee details: Run payroll reports.
