We're a seasonal business and rehire many people each year. Can I have rehires edit their own w-4s and payment information via Workforce, or do I have to do it?

it seems silly to have the same 20 people fill out paperwork each year if there are minimal changes -- and silly that I have to double check each one.

Hello, Phillips Garden.

I'll share some details regarding the employee's ability to edit their own W-4 details in Workforce.

At this time, only employers can edit the W-4 details for those existing employees (rehires) in QuickBooks. I can see that having the option to let those rehires edit their own W-4 details would help you save precious time.

I would recommend sending feedback to our developers regarding the option to have the rehires edit their own W-4. In QuickBooks, click on the Gear icon, then select Feedback

They'll review your idea and might consider it for future updates.

In the meantime, you'll want to manually double-check their W-4 details and edit the information in QuickBooks if necessary.

If you need to check on your employee's payroll data, you can run a variety of payroll reports. This article helps you on what reports you can run: Run payroll reports.

Do you have any other payroll tasks you need help with? Or do you need to record certain transactions in QuickBooks? Please let me know and I'll help you out.
