When will W2s be visible in QuickBooks online?

The Form W2 is available in QuickBooks Online once you turn on the online payroll version.

Here’s how:

1. Go to the Workers menu and click Employees.
2. Click Get Started or Set up Payroll.
3. Choose the type of service that you want to use.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete setting up your payroll account.

If you’d like to prepare and view the form W2. Here’s how:

1. Select Taxes, then Payroll Tax.
2. In the Forms section, select the Annual Forms link.
3. Select either All Employees or a specific employee name from the drop down menu provided.
4. Select the W-2, Copies B, C & 2 link. It takes you to the Printable Employee Copies: Form W-2 page.
5. Choose the appropriate period from the drop down menu.
6. Select View.
