It's nice to have you here in the Community space, @thebagguru. I've got the steps to locate and run payroll in QuickBooks Online.
In QuickBooks Online, you need a payroll subscription to access and run this feature. If your account doesn't have it, you can follow the steps below to subscribe.
- Open your QuickBooks Online account.
- Click Payroll under Reports in the left navigation menu.
- Once you see this "Need to pay your employees?" click Get Started.
- Choose the plan that fits your business on the subscription page.
- Filled in the necessary fields.
- Click Subscribe.
Once done, you can now run a payroll. Here's how:
- Go to Payroll in the left navigation panel.
- Select Overview, then click Run Payroll in the Shortcuts menu.
- Check and select the Pay period and Pay date.
- Select the employees you want to include.
- Click Preview Payroll to see the total payroll cost and other details.
- Once ready, click Submit Payroll.
- You can print a pay stub or download a payroll report, then click Close.
Additionally, you can generate payroll reports to have a detailed analysis of your business finances. You can also customize and tailor it to your preferences.
