Why does Intuit have to contact my employees under the proposed Terms of Service?

I just received an email stating that effective 9/14/23, Intuit will be able to directly engage with QB Time team members to include asking for product feedback, using team data like timesheet info and location and making features and offers directly available to team members.  I don't have a problem with them reaching out to me as a business owner and the one paying the subscription, but I really don't appreciate them engaging with my employees during work time and attempting to solicit business from them.  I have submitted feedback, however, I don't have much hope anything different will result because of it.  Am I wrong to feel this way?

So much solicitation already on my QBO page.  Now we're engaging with the people I employ.  Frustrating!

Hello, dawn.

We're changing our terms of service so we can directly connect with employees and contractors who use QuickBooks Time to better understand how they use the product to improve its overall service and to get their product feedback. We also want to provide them with personalized offers that may include access to benefits and ways to help them better manage their paychecks. Shortly after the September 14 effective date, users will be able to adjust their marketing preferences through a setting in their account.

Opting out of this change of service requires the QuickBooks Time admin to cancel their QuickBooks Time subscription.

Why does Intuit have to contact my employees under the proposed Terms of Service?

@dawnjohnson   You can switch to a Time tracking app, so you and your employees don't have to deal with Intuit/ QB and their ads/ dishonesty.

The fact that my employees can "adjust their marketing preferences" just does not sit well with me.  Why are you soliciting to my employees anyway.  I do not currently use QB Payroll services.  May be time to switch to a different time tracking app.

Thank you for your response.

Sorry, that's what I meant was a time tracking app.

I can't stand Quickbooks. I can't wait until they are replaced. I have been hoping for this for over a decade though.

Intuit can't take care of the QB customers they already have. Now they're reaching out to employees for more customers that they still won't be able to service.

yep....i think i will look for something else for time tracking and maybe another accounting package overall. QB is overreaching. the employees are part of the organization that hired them, NOT QB and QB has no right to their information or opinion or suggestions to make to them....not to mention to help them manage their payroll. Payroll is part of the organization that hired them. QUICKBOOKS you have no rights towards any business' employees. you don't pay them, you don't pay the taxes, you didn't hire them and you certainly do not offer benefits, etc. Just be a tool for business and get of the way. getting very fed up with Quickbooks....i'll be looking elsewhere.
