It is all a lie. Good Luck getting help with any of this. I have wasted hours and hours on the phone. I have been promised call backs. I have been promised engineering call backs. I have had an open ticket for months for missing data from time to payroll regarding project costing. They have literally bounced me back and forth from Time to Payroll to Time to Payroll over and over and over again. It is starting to happen again. I have payroll posted in December and January with no projects associated. We are LEAVING QUICKBOOKS THIS YEAR!!!!
Have you ever gotten a solution to this? I feel disoriented by the fact that you can add class tracking in Quickbooks Time and that those classes synch with QBO as lists but that when you use them and run a P&L, nothing is tracked to the classes. What was the point of them synching and using them if they won't track?
My mind is blown that this issue persists. I have spent countless hours migrating to QBO Time because I was sold that I could allocate hours correctly to classes. I have employees who work in multiple classes, sometimes on the same shift. Why has it integrated with classes at all if it won't actually map that way? It feels like a scam.

This does not work as our employees work at different jobs "classes " every day , what a huge mistake switching to QB online
Profit and loss by class does not sure labor , ??????????????????????????? hours on the phone nobody has a clue
the other report that does not report properly if i wanted to add the dollar amount of labour to a profit and loss by class manually. That report called employee detail by class ; this shows the amount of hours each employee worked at each job "class" which is great and aligns well with QB timesheets however there is not dollar value to these hours which is useless as all our employees make a different amount of dollar per hour
how is any construction company surviving these days with a such an inadequate program??
Good Move and I am on the verge of moving away from QB too, no help, no support, no call back just wasted hours on the phone talking to people that have no clue
GINETTE?
seriously chat or call???? have you read the posts, THIS FUNCTION DOES NOT WORK , WHY DON'T YOU FIGURE IT OUT BEFORE TELLING THE CUSTOMER TO CHAT AND OR CALL
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated that this does not work as advertised. Why in the world would QB make class tracking available in QB Time but the class detail does not feed into QBO? Completely ridiculous! I just spent an hour on the phone with 2 very helpful reps, one with QB Time and one with QB Payroll, and they agreed this is a major flaw. The payroll settings in QBO only allow one class to be selected for each employee; the settings in QB Time allow multiple classes for each employee. The only workaround suggested is to setup multiple pay types and assign those to the appropriate classes in QB Time for each employee. This will NOT populate the appropriate classes in QBO but would provide the hours worked for the various classes on the payroll detail report. But the payroll detail report reflects only the hours for each pay type; the employer taxes are one lump sum so it is difficult to allocate total payroll costs to the various classes. Class tracking is the main reason we are using QB Time. How hard can this be to implement??? Feels like false advertising. I'm not sure why we are paying for "elite" payroll service. Will begin to look at other accounting/payroll systems.
It's unbelievable how many of us are in the same boat. It's such a bait and switch.
