Will I be able to retrieve a missing payroll?

As long the payroll isn't deleted in QuickBooks, we can surely retrieve it, @cardinalhospital.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community for assistance. Let me provide some information to get your payroll transaction back in QuickBooks Online. 

If you have more than one person changing the information in the program, we can use the audit log to track your entire activities. QuickBooks records the date of any change to your books, the name of the user who made the change, type of event including the amounts. 

Here’s how:

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Audit Log.
2. Select Filter.
3. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate User, Date, or Events filter to narrow the results. 
4. Select Apply.
   

If it wasn’t deleted, I recommend clearing your browser cache. Stored cache improves browser background processes. However, too much can accumulate and can cause unexpected behaviors. You can follow these steps to fix the issue:

1. Access your account in a private or incognito window.
2. If you’re able to see the payroll, please go back to your main browser and clear the cache.
3. If the issue persists, use other supported browsers except for Internet Explorer.
