Can I change the color scheme for quickbooks online? I'm not feeling the Gray/White look.

Currently, we're unable customize how QuickBooks Online platform looks like. This idea is interesting and I'd recommend letting our Product Development Team know about this. You can click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Feedback. Once you submit your suggestion, they'll put this into consideration for future product improvements.

 I hate this too...  I'm already missing the colors from the desktop version...  Makes it easier to distinguish between different accounts.

Agreed. It's disappointing that such brand as QB hasn't implemented this option so far as if we lived in 20th century.

We have more than 1 company's accounts under our care, therefore the different color scheme will greatly help us in differentiating the companies. Sometimes we made mistake entering the data of another company because they all look the same.

Please give this feature some serious thoughts.

Not only did this change in background stop logging my mileage because I'm assuming there was an update, but after spending time going through all the settings, I cannot change the colors back. This is horrible. You cannot read the fonts underneath everything. What a horrible update. Might actually just pay an accountant after this. So annoying

Did you get this in Beta? I've looked all over for the option and can't find it in QBO.

Another option to the colors is if you could see the company name at the top of the screen in every window.  When entering checks and invoices, the whole screen fills with that item and you cannot see which company you're working in.  Thanks :)

Ok so it is now August 2022 and requests to change the color scheme has been an issue for over 2 years. Why is it not getting changed. The Black and White version gives those sensitive to migraines limited ability to work on the platform. Its so bright it literally brings on headaches and I am just learning to use it because our company is switching from desktop to online. Please make this update - we are in the 20th century - its a computer program. Lets get with it!

I appreciate you sharing details about the reason why you need to change the program's color scheme. However, the option to do so is currently unavailable. As of the moment, you can only switch the background to dark mode. Let me guide you on how:

1. In your QBO company file, navigate to the Gear icon.
2. Next, select Theme under the Your Company section.
3. From there. toggle the switch button to On to enable the dark mode. See screenshot for reference.

No thank you, I tried the dark view and it is worse than the bright white view.  

The request for more themes is more than a personal preference.

I currently manage 3 companies through QBO, the different color theme is to quickly identify the different companies. As I have to switch between the companies, sometimes I would forget which books I am accessing because they all look the same. 

The extra feature will greatly enhance user experience and encourage freelance accountants to recommend their clients to use QBO

I have been using QB for many years but the online version is quite literally giving me a headache.

Why is the grey/white colouring so indistinct? it is almost impossible to read the information on screen.

Users have been reporting this issue for over two years and it still hasn't been addressed!

Giving the coloured screen back would be great but why not just change the density of the black/grey to make it readable??

Usability should be considered before fashionability.

Quickbooks online is a complete disaster. 

The lack of color scheme choice is just the tip of the iceberg. The entire program is a huge downgrade from the desktop version. The lack of ability to customize invoices, PO’s etc is horrendous. Currently looking for an alternative program after being forced to switch from desktop to qbonline. 

Completely agree.  We were also forced to switch from Desktop to Online, and the Online version is a *huge* downgrade.  Things that were easy to do in the Desktop version are exceedingly difficult to do in the Online version.  And some things that were simple to do like creating custom invoice templates in Desktop are simply not available (or extremely limited to the point of being useless).  The Desktop version was very intuitive to use.  In the Online version, I am constantly having to resort to Google to find out how to do something that was very easy to do in Desktop.  And it is not just a case of getting used to a new program, as a Google search usually confirms that what was easy to do in Desktop is not an option at all in Online.  Online is a terrible program, and most definitely not worth the extra expense that we are now forced to pay over the Desktop version.

Please give us the option of changing color schemes.  We are appalled at the way our clients are all being forced out of quickbooks desktop, which for many is a much better solution, and there are things that could be done to make it easier.

I agree. I have get headaches working on this platform they MADE us change to. It it TERRIBLE and Intuit and QB have done nothing about it since the original complaints in 2019. They have even stopped responding to posts...what does that tell us?  The learning curve from QB Desktop to QB Online is also a pain. They are too busy advertising their products to address the issues stated in the forum. Its been 4 years since the first post I read and nothing, nada, zero, zip, zilch has been done! AND we have to pay for this ISH?! I too am looking for something else to use because this is ridiculous! Please post any suggestions.
