Convert from Xero to QBO. Has anyone done this?

Transferring your data from the Xero software into QBO can be done by using a .CSV file (using Excel).

First, you must prepare this handy QuickBooks Import Excel and CSV toolkit you can install to get the job done a moment quicker.

Here's how:

1. Open the file download window for the toolkit.
2. Then click Save.
3. Go to your Windows Desktop, then select Save.
4. Double-click QuickBooks_Import_Excel_and_CSV.exe on the desktop to open the WinZip Self-Extractor window.
5. Choose Browse, select the folder where you'd like to install the toolkit, then click OK.
6. Select Unzip to extract the contents, and then click Close to close the WinZip Self-Extractor window.
7. Open the QuickBooks Import Excel and CSV folder from the location you selected in step #4.

Then you can follow the steps given through this article: Import/export CSV files.

There are 2 options:

1. Export all lists/transactions data from Xero to XLS/CSV, then utilize a 3rd party importer tool.

2. Purchase a 3rd party conversion service.

Once you are ready to proceed, open a QBO account with a current discounted plan. You may get a discounted price for up to 6 months.

where do I get the file download in your instructions.  I put the https in and it does nothing.  Can you help me.  I need to convert my xero to quickbooks.  Don't know how to go the cvs file.

Otherwise, consider other options as I mentioned in earlier post.

You can convert from Xero to QBO using a partner tool named Dataswitcher.  Here's the article with instructions.

I have tried using Dataswitcher and it didn't work. Can someone please share what has worked for them?

Do you need to convert data with multi currency transactions from Xero to QB Online or QB Desktop?
