It's good to have you here in the Community, Alen. Let's work together to fix the error you're encountering in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

The error message you've posted is related to uploading files into the program. Given that, may I ask what specific file you're trying to upload in QBSE? Any additional information could help us identify the cause and provide an accurate resolution.

If you're trying to import your receipts to QBSE's system, please use and upload a supported file format. They're as follows:

  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • PDF

Meanwhile, if you're trying to import your bank transaction into QBSE, save it in a CSV file format.

When you've followed the correct formats but the problem persists, this could be due to excessive browser data build-up. It can affect the system's performance and features.

To resolve this, let's access your account using a private browser. Doing so restricts browser data from being saved on your device. To proceed, kindly follow these keyboard shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once you can upload your file seamlessly using the private windows, please return to your regular browser and clear its cache and cookies. It would cleanse the system and help regain full functionality. However, you can consider using another supported browser if you get the same result.

You can also contact our Support Team if the same error persists after going through the procedures above. They have the tools to investigate this matter thoroughly and provide an accurate fix.

Finally, it's essential to organize your transactions in QBSE accordingly. It ensures the accuracy of your financial data, such as Schedule C and expense categories.

Drop by again on this thread if you have more questions regarding importing files and transactions or need help handling your data in QBSE. I'm one reply away.
