How can I use my own domain to send emails?

It's 2023 and this ticket has been open, unresolved since 2020?

C'mon Intuit. Other programs have this ability to add a custom domain.

Let's make this a priority for 2024 at the very least....

How can I use my own domain to send emails?

It seems that using your domain to send email in QuickBooks Online (QBO) would be helpful for you and your business, sblucas.

The feature you're looking for is not yet available on QBO. However, we appreciate your ideas and suggestions. It will help us improve our designs and services in the future. Have feedback to notify our Product Development Team again about this and might consider it for further updates.

Here's how:

  1. In your QuickBooks, click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Feedback under Profile.
  3. Share your feedback.
  4.  Hit Next to submit.

For any updates, visit this article to see the status of your feedback: QuickBooks Online Customer Feedback.

On the other hand, I'll leave this link as your guidance in personalizing your sales forms before sending them to your customers: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online

You can notify us for more queries regarding using a domain to send emails. I'm always ready to assist. Take care.

How can I use my own domain to send emails?

This is a real deal breaker for me, and has led me to look for an alternative and I have a 100% never recommend Quickbooks, which amounts to 17 different potential new customers in the past year.

How can I use my own domain to send emails?

Here we are in 2024 still not able to do this. I have customer that don't receive the invoices emailed from in QBO at all, let alone landing in spam folders. Soon the email from within the app will stop working altogether.

Can this feature request be prioritised?

How can I use my own domain to send emails?

Thank you for joining in this thread, Opia. I understand the importance of having to email your customers for your business. Allow me to shed some light on this.

Please know that we value our customers' feedback to ensure that our product fits your needs. However, we cannot determine if the current feedback is being prioritized since they are randomly read by our product developers. And this may take time to add to the upcoming updates.

The good thing is that you can check our website to track the status of your feedback and see the recently updated ideas: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you might want to visit our QuickBooks Blog for the latest innovations and product news.

This thread is always open for more feature requests and QuickBooks-related queries. The Community is available 24/7 to assist you. Stay safe.

How can I use my own domain to send emails?

I doubt "ABILITY" is the issue on Intuit's end. Think about it. If they send out their own emails, they get more than free advertising. This request is never going to happen unless we all start jumping ship over their greed. And honestly with all the scams we get from people claiming we owe them money through Intuit, as a company IT admin I would also like to block emails like these who are from a "generic" billing company.

How can I use my own domain to send emails?

I absolutely agree. Everyone has better and better firewalls every year. This needs to be fixed. I am a company. It is embarrassing to send my invoices from a random outlook address instead of our company address.

How can I use my own domain to send emails?

Annoyingly I could probably modify the system to integrate with 365 and Google in half a day so really don't know what the problem with doing this is.

With recent SPF/DKIM/DMARC changes from the major provider sending from the intuit domains is worse than ever and we have zero control over it.

Come on Intuit, surely you could spend half a day for a significant improvement.

How can I use my own domain to send emails?

For folks still looking for a solution to this, Fazeshift (https://www.fazeshift.com/) just launched the functionality to send QuickBooks invoices via email using your own custom domain.

It basically plugs into QuickBooks, grabs the invoice, and sends the email to your customer using your custom domain so invoices stop ending up in spam folders.
